The parade of the Argentine soccer team, winner of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, in Buenos Aires had to be carried out in helicopters, given the impossibility of the bus passing through the large crowd, the City Council announced on Tuesday.
“The world champions are doing the planned route in helicopters, since it has become impossible to continue on the route,” the Buenos Aires camera announced on social networks.

According to the municipality, there are more than four million people on the streets, a number that makes it impossible for the open-top bus to carry players and coaches from the ‘albiceleste’.
“We will continue celebrating in peace and showing the team our affection and dedication,” added the council, in a message sent to the capital’s population.
Also on social networks, the president of the Argentine federation (AFA) regretted the situation and explained that the decision was made by the security forces.
“We are not allowed to go to the end of the road to greet all the people waiting for us at the Obelisk. A thousand apologies to everyone on behalf of the champion players”, said Chiqui Tapia.
The parade departed 32 kilometers from Buenos Aires with an expected arrival at the Obelisk, the center of the Argentine capital, but after barely 10 kilometers traveled in three hours, it was decided to change the trip to helicopters.
In the middle, two supporters tried to jump from a bridge onto the bus, one of them lost the vehicle and fell violently on the road.
