Buenos Aires is experiencing the most unforgettable moments in its history with hundreds of thousands of people celebrating euphorically with the footballers who won the country’s third world champion title.
Unbridled by their joy, supporters from all over – taking advantage of the fact that a national holiday had been declared so that the populace could join in the festivities – came to welcome Lionel Messi and his teammates, who arrived in his homeland at dawn, before boarding opened a bus for the traditional parade of champions.
The great avenues of the capital are full of people and enthusiasm, constantly listening to some of the songs that have become real icons of the campaign for albiceleste in Qatar. The accumulation of people has already forced the organization to change the route of the caravan.
“Guys…now we’ve won the third”is the melody that erupts everywhere, along with the national anthem, the songs most cherished by the Argentines.
Not a fan can be seen that is not dressed up, or a facade of a building without words of thanks or the colors sky blue and white, which give the night an extra warmth to the 25.º that took place at 9 p.m., the entourage a few hours before landed.
The opportunity to see their idols, play on the bus or join the party was what rallied a crowd that, according to local authorities, had exceeded one million right after the success against France, now largely in the minority.

Aerolíneas Argentinas’ plane, rigorously painted to celebrate the achievement, featuring images of Messi and Di Maria, among others, and the phrase “one team, one country, one dream”, landed around 2:30 a.m. local time (5:30 a.m. in Lisbon) .
The ‘bath’ of the crowd started right at the airport and continues with every meter the biplane has to travel, very slowly, in its triumphal procession with the country’s new heroes.
The crowd took their seats very early, with groups of friends and families trying to get the best spot, using camping chairs and barbecues, while celebrating with flags, drums and balloons, among other things.

“I am here because of my passion for Argentina. I love Messi, I love the whole team. It is a huge emotion that is difficult to explain. My heart is jumping. I think we are the only country that plays football, with this madness, joy and happiness”delighted Alejandra Diaz, 55 years old.
The festivities are controlled as much as possible by the police who accompany the entire route and try to get as quickly as possible in the approximately 30 kilometers to the mythical Obelisk, the ‘heart’ of the festivities in Buenos Aires.
In 2021, after winning the Copa America in Brazil, the bus took about four hours to cover 10 kilometers.
WILL IT BE FULL?

Meanwhile, Lionel Messi, seven times awarded the Ballon d’Or and considered the best footballer of the 2022 World Cup, slept with the trophy and it was this image that he shared on social networks, with the phrase “good morning”.
The 35-year-old footballer has promised a new match in Rosario, his home country, 300 kilometers northwest of Buenos Aires.
“We are going to welcome him and celebrate him for months, years…” promised Luciano Peralta, 41 years old, a businessman who came from Rosario at dawn to accompany his idol.
Cristina Vasquez, 42, swallowed up by the crowd, says she is “moved by this love” for her country.
