Benfica wants to sign Andreas Schjelderup

Benfica wants to hire the young Norwegian Andreas Schjelderup, top scorer in the Danish league, with 10 goals in 17 games.

The eagles are already negotiating with Nordsjaelland. Benfica’s SAD hopes to convince the Danish club with a negotiation value that could reach 15 million euros already with goals.

But the Reds are not alone in the race. THE TSF knows that the Spanish from Sevilla are also interested in having Andreas Schjelderup and have already offered 10 million euros.

Andreas Schjelderup came to Nordsjaelland in 2020/2021 from Bodo/Glimt in Norway and was trained by coach Tom Dent.

In an interview in TSFthe English coach assured that Andreas Schjelderup “is a fantastic player. Wherever he goes, the club that receives him will be very lucky. I think he will play for a great club.”

Tom Dent coached Schjelderup through the Bodo/Glimt youth system, and later led the coaching staff at Stjørdals-Blink in Norway, but he never stopped following the young striker’s career in Danish football.

In this interview to TSFTom Dent describes Andreas Schjelderup as a “very good tactical and technical player. He likes to have the ball and dominate the game, play between the lines. He also has a lot of quality facing the opponent in one-on-one matches”, he guarantees the English technician.

But Tom Dent’s praise for his former player continues in this interview with TSF: “It is easy for him to step on different areas of the field, even though he prefers to play on the left side of the attack and then use his right foot. Without a doubt, he is one of the best players to come out of the Academia do Bodo in recent years “added the English coach.

Andreas Schjelderup has assumed an important role in Nordsjaelland’s season, but manager Tom Dent warns that the move “to the Portuguese league will not be easy, you have to give the player time to succeed, because he is only 18 years old. He will need It’s time to assimilate this change”, said the English coach in this interview with TSFand added that “Benfica’s success story with young players leaves me in no doubt that it will succeed”.
