After all, the attack on Sporting’s museum is a marketing campaign

A post left on social media by Sporting on Wednesday night reported a robbery at the club’s museum in which goalkeeper Adán’s gloves were allegedly stolen in his 2020-21 title win.

The content of the message did not leave any major doubts about the veracity of the news, but later others to post placed by the club raised doubts that it would not be a marketing move. “The SportingCP security department, together with the authorities, has already managed to profile the suspect, identified as being of Spanish nationality, dark, brown eyes, about 1.90 m, athletic build, handsome, dressed in very good taste and style .” it reads.

And if there were any doubts, a third message made it very clear that this is a marketing ploy. “The cooperation of the Spanish authorities has already been requested to try to apprehend the suspect, who is in an uncertain location,” writes Sporting.

And it is really a marketing move, which will be fully revealed on Thursday, as evidenced by this latest post: “Spanish authorities have warned that the suspect in the robbery could be back at the SCP Museum by 1 p.m..”
