Portuguese international footballer Cristiano Ronaldo will be presented at Al-Nassr, in Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. local time (4:00 p.m. in Lisbon), the 37-year-old striker’s new club announced on Monday.
“All eyes in Riyadh for the presentation of the best in the world, Cristiano Ronaldo, with the colors of Al-Nassr, for the first time”, can be read in a note published on the social network Twitter by the Saudis.
According to the club, the player will be presented at Mrsool Park, Al-Nassr’s stadium, in Riyadh.
The Portuguese star is still waiting for him today in Riyadh, having already published a video on social networks from the plane in which he travels to that Saudi city.
The ‘captain’ of the Portuguese team, 37, sets course for Saudi football, after having terminated his contract with English Manchester United, which he represented for the second time in 2021/22 and 2022/23, after a first stage ( 2003/2009).
Before starting the 2022 World Cup, Ronaldo, who grew up at Sporting and between his two stages with the English represented Real Madrid (2009/2018) and Juventus (2018/2022), admitted feeling “betrayed” and disrespected in Red Devilswith which he scored 145 goals in 346 games.
With 194 appearances with Portugal’s first team, and 118 goals, he has scored 451 goals for Real Madrid, in ‘only’ 438 games, and five for Sporting, in 31 games.
Currently led by the Frenchman Rudi García, and with the Brazilian Talisca (ex-Benfica) and the Cameroonian Aboubakar (ex-FC Porto), Al Nassr occupies first place in the Saudi League, after 11 games, with 26 points, one more than Al Shabab, which has one less party.
Al Nassr has nine Saudi championship titles, the latest coming in 2018/19.
