The Portuguese Jaime Pacheco is the new coach of the Pyramids, announced on Thursday the fourth place in the Egyptian Football League, which the Portuguese coach has already won twice, in charge of Zamalek.
“The debut of our new coach, Jaime Pacheco, in our stadium”, indicates a brief note on the official Pyramids social networks, which shows the 64-year-old Portuguese coach, showing a club shirt inside the venue.
Jaime Pacheco returns to Egyptian football, which he left in March 2021, leaving Zamalek at the top of the 2020/21 championship -which they won-, after having already been crowned champion of Egypt in the 2014/15 season, during the first season for The Cairo club.
Pyramids used the same platforms to thank their previous manager, Greek Takis Gonias, who led the Assiute-based club for the past three seasons and was sidelined after a 3-0 loss to league leaders Al Ahly.
Jaime Pacheco, who has been out since leaving Zamalek, will make his debut this Saturday as Pyramids coach, against Ghazl Mehalla, in a match corresponding to matchday 12 of the championship, in which he has won six, drawn two and lost three. .
