Bad weather postpones match between Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and Pepa’s Al Tai

The match between Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo’s new club, and Al Tai, coached by Pepa, has been postponed to Friday due to bad weather in Riyadh, the Saudi club announced hours before the start of the match.

“Due to heavy rain and weather conditions affecting the stadium’s electricity, we have been officially notified that tonight’s match against Al Tai has been postponed for 24 hours. We apologize for any inconvenience caused to fans and wish everyone a safe journey. ” Al Nassr on social media.

Anyway, this still wouldn’t be Cristiano Ronaldo’s debut for his new team, as the Portuguese striker has to sit out two games decreed by the English Federation (FA), still from when he represented Manchester United – for an “inappropriate” gesture he made towards a young Everton fan.

Currently coached by Frenchman Rudi Garcia, and with Brazil’s Talisca (ex-Benfica) and Cameroonian Aboubakar (ex-FC Porto), Al Nassr is the second most title-winning club in Saudi Arabia, with nine trophies, just behind record holder Al Hilal (18).

The match between Al Nassr and Al Tai was scheduled for Friday at 3 p.m. in mainland Portugal.
