A few days after Benfica-Sporting, José Dias Ferreira reveals that he does not have much confidence for the game. The former Leo leader says it’s not worth making great prospects because the refs won’t let him.
“I don’t have a lot of confidence and it’s not because of the team. Those who watch the game with Marítimo do not have much confidence. With this theft in arbitration, it is not worth making great prospects”, laments Dias Ferreira in statements to TSF.
Still talking about the match with Marítimo, the former Sporting coach harshly criticized the performance of referee Hélder Malheiro: “Only a blind man cannot see that Sporting was not harmed. If it were against Benfica, the media would all be desperate and screaming. Benfica is the same. Like Sporting, it has no strength today. A man named Hélder Malheiro assaults us left and right. He arrives there to decide the result and that’s it, another VAR that must be as good as he.”

José Dias Ferreira also requests the intervention of the judicial authorities: “The arbitration will only change with the Public Ministry or with the Judicial Police. Until then, it is not valid.”
In this interview to TSF, Dias Ferreira clarifies the coach Ruben Amorim of any failure. “I maintain confidence in the coach. He is not at fault. He doesn’t even mention the referees, ”he concludes.
Benfica and Sporting meet on Sunday at 6:00 p.m., at the Estádio da Luz, for matchday 16 of the I Liga.
