This Tuesday, FC Porto hosts Club Brugge, in Group B, while Sporting plays Tottenham, in Alvalade, in Group D, in duels for the second day of the Football Champions League.
After the defeat in Madrid with Atlético (2-1), the national champion hosts Club Brujas at the Dragão, in a match in which they will be without the Iranian striker Taremi, due to suspension, and the Portuguese international midfielder Otávio, injured.
In the first round, the Belgians beat Bayer Leverkusen (1-0) at home, with the Germans, this time, hosting João Félix’s Atlético Madrid in the other group match.
Both are scheduled for 20:00 (Lisbon time).
Earlier, at 17:45, it is Sporting’s turn to measure forces against Tottenham, the main favorite to win Group D, in a game in which coach Rúben Amorim has a low defense. St. Juste and Luís Neto are injured and will miss the game.
In the first round, Sporting went to Germany to beat Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0, with Tottenham, in the other match, in London, beating Nuno Tavares’ Marseille 2-0.
At 8:00 p.m., Marseille and Eintracht meet in France.
Also notable in today’s games is Bayern Munich’s welcome to FC Barcelona, in Group C, which marks the return of Polish striker Robert Lewandowski to the home of his former club.
