Danish striker Casper Tengsted, 22, is a reinforcement of the Benfica soccer team, the leading club of the Portuguese Soccer League announced Wednesday.
The player, an under-21 international for Denmark, arrives at Benfica from Norwegian Rosenborg, a team he reinforced in the summer from Danish AC Horsens, and signed a contract valid until 2028.
In Rosenborg, Tengsted entered the 17th round, on August 6, immediately assuming the title, with 14 games played, until the 30th and last round of the Norwegian League, with 14 goals scored and seven assists.
The striker is the first reinforcement for Benfica in the reopening of the transfer market, after the Luz club also lost Diogo Gonçalves and Rodrigo Pinho, on loan to Copenhagen and Coritiba, respectively.
Along the way, Tangstedt trained in Midtjylland and, at the senior level, was loaned to German side Nuremberg (2019/2020), before being loaned again and then permanently transferred to AC Horsens (2020/2022).
