The Qatari driver Nasser Al-Attiyah (Toyota) won this Sunday, for the fifth time, the car competition in the 45th edition of the Dakar all-terrain rally, which ended in Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
The Toyota driver was the seventh fastest in the 14th and final stage, between Al Hofuf and Dammam, with 136 timed kilometers, finishing 05.41 minutes behind the winner of the day, the Frenchman Guerlain Chicherit (BRX), with the Swedish Mattias Ëkstrom (Audi) in second place, at 01.36 minutes, and South African Henk Lategan (Toyota), in third, at 01.44 minutes.
With these results, Nasser Al-Attiyah won the race for the fifth time, after having already won in 2011, 2015, 2019 and 2022, finishing 1:18.49 hours ahead of Frenchman Sébastien Loeb (BRX), who was second, and 1 : 36.31 over the Brazilian Lucas Moraes (Toyota), who was third.
