Dani Alves will go to preventive detention for the alleged rape of a woman in Barcelona on December 30, 2022.
The soccer player was arrested this Friday and gave statements in the City of Justice. The judge accepted the suggestion of the Spanish Public Ministry and kept the former Barcelona player in pretrial detention without the right to bail, according to El País.
Dani Alves, who currently plays in Mexico, will have traveled to Barcelona at the end of the year. There, on the night of December 30-31, he allegedly raped a 23-year-old woman in a disco bathroom. The woman reported two days after the alleged sexual assault.
In statements to the Spanish television channel Antena 3, Dani Alves defended himself against the accusations on January 5: “I would like, first of all, to deny this.
