The Brazil international was arrested in Barcelona on Friday morning after turning himself in to police in an investigation into alleged sexual assault that took place in December.
The player was summoned to appear at Les Corts police station in Barcelona following the investigation into the alleged crime of assault, the complaint of which was filed on January 2.
The alleged facts allegedly took place in a club in Barcelona on the night of December 30 to 31, but on January 5, Dani Alves told the Spanish television channel Antena 3 that he had not attacked anyone and that he did not know the complainant.
