Domingos Paciência considers that there are no favorites for the derby later, between Sporting and FC Porto, in the League Cup final. In an interview with TSFthe former FC Porto player and former Sporting coach is convinced that, despite the punctual distance between the teams in the championship, the game will be balanced.
“There are no favourites. The League Cup has a history of other teams that have already won this cup, such as Vitória de Setúbal and Moreirense, for example. Favoritism”, says Domingos Paciência.
The former player of the dragons and coach of the lions, has no doubts that “FC Porto is going to bet a lot on this trophy, because they would like to win it for the first time, but there is more pressure from Sporting, it depends a lot on the season they are doing.
Regarding the strategy that the two coaches could have in the derby, Domingos Paciência says that “Rúben Amorim is more predictable. The system and the dynamics of the team don’t change much. FC Porto is more versatile in his idea, because Sérgio La The conception varies more in terms of the system and changes more players.
