The Portuguese judoka Bárbara Timo won the gold medal at the Portuguese Grand Prix this Saturday by defeating the Brazilian Gabriella Moraes in the final of the -63 kg category, in the competition that takes place in Almada.
Timo, born in Rio de Janeiro and who in 2019 went on to represent Portugal, made his debut this year at this Grand Prix, since in the first edition he was absent due to injury, then after a foot operation.
In today’s final, in what was her fifth fight of the day, the Benfica judoka secured the gold medal at 01.23 minutes from the end of the four periods, after the elimination of her opponent, due to a dangerous action.
