Judoka Rochele Nunes finished this Sunday with a silver medal in the +78 kg category at the Portuguese Grand Prix, in a final in which she lost to the South Korean Hayun Kim, the first seed.
The Olympic judoka from Benfica had to settle for silver, in a fight in which she was very close to gold, with a waza-ari advantage, but ended up being counterattacked and immobilized after her own attack.
Rochele Nunes’ silver medal closed Portugal’s participation in the Grand Prix, with 39 Portuguese judokas, which was balanced by this second place and two gold medals, by Bárbara Timo (-63 kg) and Patrícia Sampaio (-78 kg ).
