Benfica won the futsal League Cup for the fourth time today, after beating Quinta dos Lombos 3-0 in the final in a match in Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar.
Against Quinta dos Lombos, for the first time in the final, the ‘incarnates’ were already winning by two goals at half-time, with goals from Arthur in the first minute and Rocha on four, extending the advantage in the second. half with a goal from Bruno Cintra (38).
With this victory, Benfica won the League Cup for the fourth time, after triumphs in 2017/18, 2018/19 and 2019/20, equaling Sporting in the number of trophies won in the competition, which is exclusive to both teams.
This Sunday, Benfica won the Futsal Women’s League Cup for the second time, after beating Nun’Álvares (4-1) in the final, which took place at the Pavilhão Multiusos de Gondomar.
The Eagles reached halftime with a two-goal lead, scored by Janice (six minutes) and Raquel Santos (11). In the second half, Nun’Álvares pulled one back through Carla Vanessa (28′), but Benfica responded with goals from Fifó (29′ and 35′).
With this triumph, Benfica won the Futsal Women’s League Cup for the second time, after triumphing in the first edition of the competition in 2020-21, while Nun’Álvares, who beat the Eagles in the final last season, move on with a sceptre.
