According to the decision of the disciplinary process initiated at the Algarve club, released this Tuesday by the Disciplinary Board (CD) of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF), the emblem of Faro will have to play two league matches behind closed doors and pay 33,470 euros , for non-compliance with article 113 of the disciplinary rules of the Portuguese professional football league.

After the match, Brazil’s Viseenses player André Clóvis said he was the target of racist abuse by the Algarve supporters present at Estádio São Luís, an incident also denounced by the club he represents.
The actions against Clóvis, who scored one of his team’s goals on August 20, 2022, according to his own account, took place when he was substituted in the 83rd minute and led to incidents after the final whistle.
The confusion between the Académico bench and local fans also led to the expulsion of Farense president João Rodrigues.
The Brazilian striker, on loan from Estoril Praia, is one of the emblems of Viseu, fifth in the II Liga, the league’s top scorer. Farense is second.
The racist insults also led to the opening of disciplinary proceedings by the Authority for the Prevention and Combating of Violence in Sport (APCVD).
