Benfica formalized the sale of Enzo Fernández to Chelsea for 121 million euros, in a statement to CMVM.
Sport Lisboa e Benfica – Futebol, SAD (“Benfica SAD”) informs that it has reached an agreement with Chelsea FC for the sale of all the rights of the player Enzo Fernández, for an amount of €121,000,000 (one hundred twenty eight million euros)”, informed the club to the CMVM.
In the statement, the eagles proddeguen: “It is further reported that Chelsea FC will have the right to retain the 3.78% solidarity mechanism for its subsequent distribution to the clubs that participated in the player’s formation. In addition, Benfica SAD will have charges for intermediation services of 6.56% of the value of the sale deducted from the amount of solidarity services and must also deliver to River Plate the amount corresponding to 25% of the value of the transfer deducted from the amounts of solidarity services and intermediation”.
Enzo Fernández becomes the most expensive player in the history of the Premier League, surpassing the previous mark, set by the transfer of Jack Grealish to Manchester City for 117 million euros.
