The Turkish press reports that the 33-year-old Ghanaian, former FC Porto player, currently at the service of Hatayspor, is among those missing in the earthquake that shook Turkey and Syria this morning.
The Portuguese Rúben Ribeiro, formerly of Sporting, and the Cape Verdean Zé Luís, formerly of FC Porto, who are part of the Hatayspor squad, are already in a safe place.
The newspaper ‘Fanatik’ also reports that the sports director of Hatayspor, Taner Savut and the footballer Onur Er, are under the rubble, after the earthquake measuring 7.8 on the Richter scale that devastated Turkey last morning.
Hatayspor played this Sunday against Kasimpasa. They ended up winning 1-0 and with a goal, precisely from Christian Atsu.
14 Portuguese footballers play in Turkey. All sports activity in the country has been suspended.
