The Portuguese striker Cristiano Ronaldo marked his first ‘poker’ in Saudi football on Thursday, signing the four unanswered goals with which Al-Nassr won the visit to Al-Wehda.
The Portuguese’s first goal of the afternoon came in the 20th minute, when he received the ball in the penalty area and finished off a low cross with his left foot.
On 39′, Ronaldo scored again when, this time on the right, he also shot low and crossed to make it 2-0.
The hat-trick – also the first he signed in Saudi Arabia – came after 52 minutes in the conversion of a penalty in which he finished hard and low on the left.
The Portuguese’s fourth goal in this match came in the 61st minute, when he lobbed it into the back of the Al-Wehda defence. Goalkeeper Atiah saved a first shot and the Portuguese international took the opportunity to shoot into an empty goal.
With this 4-0 victory, Al-Nassr has 37 points and rises to the lead in the Saudi championship, while Al-Wehda is 13th with 12 points more than the last placed Al Batin.
