MotoGP World Championship: Miguel Oliveira regrets not being able to “try more”

The Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) regretted this Saturday not having been able to ride more time on a dry track in the second of the three days of testing for the MotoGP World Championship, which lasts until Sunday in Malaysia.

Oliveira, who was the second fastest on this route, completed 52 laps, setting his best time on the 21st, with 1.58.839 minutes, just 0.103 seconds behind the fastest of the day, the Spanish Jorge Martín (Ducati). The Spanish Pol Espargaró (GasGas) was third, 0.145 seconds behind the fastest.

The day was marked by the rain that fell overnight on the circuit, which left the asphalt wet and conditioned the work throughout the day.

“Today was a good day! It’s true that we didn’t have as much dry weather as we would have liked. In fact, we wanted to try a few more things with the bike, but we couldn’t, a shame”, lamented the Almada-born rider.

Even so, Miguel Oliveira assured that he had fun “all day”.

“Hopefully we will have the opportunity to get more track time in dry conditions tomorrow. [domingo]”, concluded the Portuguese, who this year switched from KTM to RNF Aprilia.

This first battery of tests ends on Sunday.
