The Spaniards of Real Madrid won the Club World Cup this Saturday by defeating the Saudis of Al-Hilal, 5-3, in the final of the competition, played in Rabat, Morocco.
Vinicius Júnior (minutes 13 and 69), Federico Valverde (18 and 58) and Karim Benzema (54) scored for the ‘merengues’, while Moussa Marega (26), formerly of FC Porto, and Luciano Vietto (63 and 79) , ex Sporting, reduced to Al-Hilal.
Real Madrid was proclaimed world champion for the eighth time, lifting the trophy for the fifth time as the Club World Cup and three times as the Intercontinental Cup.
