Chaves goalkeeper hospitalized and under surveillance after menstruation

Brazilian footballer Paulo Vítor, 34, goalkeeper of Desportivo de Chaves, has been admitted to the hospital ward in the city of Trás-os-Montes, the First Football League club announced on Wednesday, adding that he was initially unwell. .

“Goalkeeper Paulo Vítor was admitted to the emergency room of Hospital de Chaves on Saturday morning. The player has been hospitalized for preventive reasons and is under surveillance,” Desportivo de Chaves stressed in an informational message on the same hospital ward.

According to the progress of the club, the footballer resorted to the hospital ward after an indisposition, where he was “immediately assisted by health professionals” and “underwent all necessary tests to assess his state of health”.

“The Medical Department of the [Desportivo de] Chaves constantly monitors the evolution of the player’s health,” the club emphasized in the same note, without anticipating the forecast of hospital discharge.

Born in São Mateus, Brazil, the goalkeeper is in his third season with the team under Vítor Campelos, having started in 22 of the 24 official games this season, marking the return of the Trás- os-Montes to the top echelon of Football National.

Paulo Vítor was in the starting line-up and fielded the whole game during Desportivo de Chaves’ visit to Vizela, in the 20th round of the First Football League, which was played on Friday and ended with a draw to nil.

Desportivo de Chaves, ranked eighth, with 26 points, will receive Sporting, fourth in the ranking, with 38, on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Estádio Municipal Engenheiro Manuel Branco Teixeira, in a match for the 21st round of the First Football League.
