Morato renewed his contract with Benfica until 2027. The central defender had a valid contract until 2025 and, this Friday, the red club announced that the Brazilian was extending his stay at the Estádio da Luz for two more years.

The defender arrived in Lisbon in 2019, when Benfica guaranteed the player’s services to São Paulo, for seven million euros. With the eagles shirt, Morato has already played 38 games and has scored two goals.
Currently, the athlete does not appear in Roger Schmidt’s accounts, after suffering an injury to his right ankle on the first day of the Champions League, against Maccabi Haifa.
