The Portuguese international soccer player Kika Nazareth is among the 15 nominees for the Golden Girl award, in its first edition, similar to the one instituted by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport to distinguish under-21 male promises.
According to the transalpine publication, the list that will make up Benfica’s ‘teacher’ will be reduced to ten players on October 15, followed by a vote of 40 specialized international journalists, as well as directors of Italian sports newspapers and television channels.
Kika Nazareth, 19 years old, with 20 caps and four goals scored by Portugal, competes, among others, with the Spanish Vicky López (FC Barcelona, Esp), the German Marca (Wolfsburg, Ale), the French Bahlouli ( Lyon, Fra), the Swedish Hanna Bennison (Everton, Ing), the Italians from Juventus Arcangeli and Ferrara or the Australian Fowler (Manchester City, Ing).
The Spanish League is the one with the most representatives on the list of competitors, with three, followed by the English, French and Italian championships, all with two candidates.
