The footballer Youssef Chermiti has renewed with Sporting until 2027, keeping the forward with a termination clause of 80 million euros (ME), the Lisbon club reported this Friday in a statement.
“Youssef Chermiti will continue to wear a lion on his chest. The 18-year-old Portuguese-Tunisian striker renewed his contract this Friday until 2027 and is protected by a termination clause of 80 million euros,” Sporting’s official statement read. website.
The striker was the first bet of the ‘Leonese’ coach, Rúben Amorim, about a month ago, posting, so far, two goals and one assist in seven games with the main team.
Chermiti made his debut with the ‘green and white’ shirt in the derby against Benfica (2-2), at Estádio da Luz, for the 16th round of the I Liga, and on Thursday he made his first appearance in European competitions, in the draw at home against Midtjylland (1-1), in the first leg of the play-off access to the round of 16 of the Europa League.
On matchday 19 of the I Liga, he scored the goal that gave Sporting victory, in Vila do Conde, against Rio Ave (1-0), and, in the following match, reduced the ‘lions’, in defeat with FC Porto (2-1), in Lisbon.
