Roma coach Jose Mourinho of Portugal asked on Tuesday for the recordings of the arbitration talks of the meeting with Cremonese, of the Italian football league, to be made public, with legal action against the fourth referee being considered.
Mourinho was sent off at the start of the second half of Rome’s 2-1 defeat to Cremonese after a dialogue with the fourth referee, who alerted the chief referee, who sent off the Portuguese coach.
“I need to know if there is audio recording of what he said to me. I don’t want to go in because he’s from Turin and we’re playing against Juventus on this match day and he wanted me off the bench.”he said.
In statements to DAZNMourinho wondered if there was “anything he could legally do”.
“The referee sends me off because the fourth official told him to. Unfortunately, the fourth referee didn’t have the honesty to tell his colleague what he said to me, the way he said it and the way he treated me. “he said.
Mourinho admitted to being “emotional” but assured that he is not “crazy” and that he has had that reaction “because something happened”.
“It is the first time in my career that a fourth official has spoken to me in an unjustified manner. I went to the referees’ dressing room at the end of the game. […] Piccinini [árbitro principal] saw me come in and said to the fourth official: ‘I want you to be honest and say what happened’he said.
