The crash of one of the cars competing in the Camélias Rally this Friday caused six injuries in the Malveira da Serra area, Cascais municipality, a source from the Greater Lisbon Subregional Command told Lusa.
The alert for the accident was given at 9:08 p.m. and the Civil Protection source said that it was due to the skidding of one of the vehicles in the race.
“At this moment there are six victims being assisted at the scene,” added the same source, without immediately specifying the degree of the injuries.
There are 26 operatives on the scene, assisting the victims, supported by eight vehicles.
The Camélias Rally started today and will continue until this Saturday, with the sports organization of the CMS – Clube de Motorismo de Setúbal, according to the official website of the race.
