“Together they represent the largest gymnastics tournament ever held in Portugal and the largest acrobatic gymnastics event ever held worldwide. More than 1,600 gymnasts from 26 countries will compete, highlighting the presence of several world and European countries,” emphasizes the organization, in charge of the Acro Clube da Maia.
In national terms, the trio composed of Carolina Marques, Eduarda Portela and Joana Pinto stands out, “young gymnasts eager to follow in the footsteps of their predecessors” in the race for the podium, as emphasized by coach Lourenço França, of Acro Clube de Maya .
This is the only event to host the Football World Cup for 11 consecutive years: “It is synonymous with an excellent organisation. We are the only city and the only organization in the world to have organized 11 consecutive stages”.
In addition to more than 1,600 gymnasts, the competitions have resulted in cash prizes of 12,000 euros.
