The Portuguese coach Jesualdo Ferreira was again dismissed from the technical command of the Egyptians of Zamalek this Wednesday, after the poor results of the soccer team, adding two dismissals in the space of two months.
“Thank you Jesualdo Ferreira for everything you have done for our club. We wish you much success in the future,” Zamalek wrote today on his official Twitter account.
The official departure of the experienced 76-year-old coach comes a few days after the defeat in Algeria, against Belouizdad, 2-0, by the African Champions League, and which dictated the elimination of the team, which is inserted in the Group D of that competition, when there is still one day to play.
The Portuguese coach had already been fired at the end of January, also for sporting failure, after the 3-0 defeat against Al Ahly, but he would finally return to office a few weeks later at the behest of president Mortada Mansour.
After leading Zamalek to the Egyptian champion title last season, Jesualdo Ferreira was unable to keep the team on the path of good results and is currently in fifth place in the Egyptian League, 11 points behind leaders Al Ahly , which has two less. games played.
