Gomes Amaro, soccer reporter in the 70s and 80s, has died

The reporter Gomes Amaro passed away this Thursday at the age of 85.

Gomes Amaro gave football a voice on Portuguese radio in the 70s and 80s through the antenna of TSF and also from Quadrante Norte, in Rádio Press.

In reaction, FC Porto recalled a report they wrote, accompanied by the message: “A voice that accompanied many Porto fans on radio afternoons. Rest in peace, Gomes Amaro.”

The body of the former journalist will be in a burning chamber in the mortuary chapel of the Igreja Matriz de Espinho, starting at 3:00 p.m. this Thursday. The funeral takes place on Saturday at 12:15 p.m.
