The classification and the first sprint race, novelty of the new season, mark this Saturday the second day of the Portuguese Grand Prix, the inaugural race of the speed motorcycle World Championship.
The Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (Aprilia) was only 19th overall in the two free practice sessions on Friday and was left out of the second qualifying round (Q2), destined for the top 10, and must play the first round, scheduled for 10 :50 hours, already after the three categories had completed the last free practice sessions.
In the first qualifying round, only the first two will access Q2, which will take place at 11:15 a.m. and will define the first four rows of the starting grid for the two races of the weekend.
After the Moto3 and Moto2 classifications, the first sprint race of the championship takes place, which will be held on Saturdays in the 21st grand prix of the season, with 12 laps and points for the first nine classified.
The Portuguese Grand Prix, at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, ends on Sunday, with the main races of the three categories.
