The reading of the ruling on the disclosure process of Benfica’s emails in Porto Canal was postponed this Monday to May 12, due to the aggravation of the crimes charged to Francisco J. Marques and Diogo Faria.
The reading of the sentence is scheduled for this Monday, starting at 2:00 p.m., in the Central Criminal Court of Lisbon, the session began with the group of judges who deal with the aggravation of the crimes of violation of correspondence or telecommunications, as well as the crimes of offense. against the legal person of the defendants Francisco J. Marques and Diogo Faria.
The session was interrupted for a few minutes, for the defense to pronounce, but the defendants understood that there was nothing to request, so the reading of the sentence was rescheduled for May 12, starting at 2:00 p.m.: 00 hours.
Francisco J. Marques, who published the content of Benfica’s emails in the program ‘Universo Porto — da Bancada’, on Porto Canal, was accused of three crimes of correspondence or telecommunications violation, three crimes of aggravated correspondence violation or telecommunications, in apparent concurrence with three crimes of invasion of private life and one crime of improper access.
The communication director of FC Porto was also responsible for five aggravated crimes against a legal person and one crime against a legal person, aggravated by private prosecution.
Diogo Faria was charged with a crime of violation of correspondence or telecommunications and a crime of improper access, in addition to a crime against the legal person aggravated by private prosecution.
Finally, Júlio Magalhães is accused by the Public Ministry of three aggravated crimes of violation of correspondence or telecommunications, in apparent concurrence with three crimes of intrusion into private life, as well as five aggravated crimes of attack against the legal entity.
