The tennis player Carlos Alcaraz was eliminated by the Italian Jannik Sinner in the semifinals of the Masters 1000 in Miami. The Spaniard lost by partials of 6-7, 6-4 and 6-2, a defeat that also cost him the lead in the ATP ranking.
Alcaraz will now be surpassed by the Serbian Novak Djokovic.
Sinner, number 11 in the world, will play his first Masters 1000 final on Sunday against Russian Daniil Medvedev.
