The company Endeavor, owner of the world’s largest mixed martial arts (MMA) championship, the UFC, announced this Monday the purchase of WWE, a wrestling giant worth more than $19 billion.
In a statement, Endeavor reported on the purchase operation, which should close in the second half of 2023, creating a company estimated to be worth more than $21 billion.

The goal is to unite the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) mixed martial arts brands with World Wrestling Entertainment, the most recognized among wrestling promoters, and take the new company public.
The new company will be 51% owned by Endeavor, with WWE’s Vincent McMahon as chief executive, reporting to Mark Shapiro, first chief operating officer and president.
