UEFA has formally received three applications from national soccer associations interested in hosting the 2028 and 2032 European Championships, the organization said on Wednesday.
The UK and Ireland submitted a joint application to host Euro 2028, while Turkey formalized its interest in hosting the competition in 2028 or 2032, and Italy submitted its process to host Euro 2032.
In the coming months, the UEFA council will assess each of the three applications, with the Executive Committee deciding in October which have won the right to host the 2028 and 2032 editions.
Euro 2024, which has the qualifying phase for the final phase underway, is hosted by Germany and will be played by 24 teams, from June 14 to July 14, 2024.
