Cristiano Ronaldo without a coach in Saudi Arabia

Cristiano Ronaldo was without a coach at Al Nassr yesterday. Frenchman Rudi Garcia has terminated his contract “by mutual agreement”, according to a statement from the number two of the Saudi League.

“Al Nassr informs that coach Rudi Garcia has left the club, by mutual agreement. The management and everyone at the club thank Rudi and his staff for their dedication to the work over the past eight months,” the club said.

Rudi Garcia, 59, leaves Al Nassr second in the championship, three points behind leader Al Ittihad, coached by Portugal’s Nuno Espírito Santo. The coach, French champion for Lille in 2011, arrived at the club from the city of Riyadh in July 2022, aiming to win the title of Saudi champion, which has eluded Al Nassr since 2019 and motivated the signing of CR7 at the end. from 2022 .

Al Nassr already announced that the Croatian Dinko Jelicic, who plays under 19, has been promoted to the first team. Aged 49, he has now risen to the top of the club’s hierarchy, following work at several smaller clubs in his country, a stint with Iran’s Foolad and Croatia’s youth teams.
