Juventus assured this Thursday that Polish goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny is “all right” after being substituted against Europa League side Sporting.
Towards the end of the first half, the Poland international put his hand to his chest and asked for a replacement, with the Italian press reporting he was experiencing palpitations, tachycardia and difficulty breathing.
“After some initial testing, Tek [Szczesny] ok,” reads a message published by Juventus on the social network Twitter.

“There was a little fear, but we did tests and everything is fine. It’s something that has never happened to me. I had a little trouble breathing and I was a little scared,” explained the Poland international, 32 years old old, off to the microphone of Sky Sport.
Sporting today lost Turin 1-0 in a match that was decided with a lone goal from Federico Gatti, scored in the 73rd minute.
The Italians will visit Estádio José Alvalade, on April 20, in the second leg of the game.
