Oliveirense, Valongo, Sporting and Óquei de Barcelos joined Benfica and FC Porto this Friday in the quarterfinals of the roller hockey Champions League, in which FC Barcelona and Trissino also participate.
Benfica and FC Porto, who had already secured their ‘ticket’ for the next phase, will face each other in the next round, and Sporting and Valongo will also face each other, while Oliveirense will face the Italians from Trissino, and Óquei de Barcelos will face the Spanish of FC Barcelona, in the final phase that will be played in Viana do Castelo.
In today’s matches, for the sixth and final day of the group stage, Benfica drew 2-2 at home against Calafell (Spain), and Oliveirense beat Liceo, 3-2, in group A, while that in group B, Trissino beat FC Porto, 6-2, and, in group C, Valongo beat Amatori Lodi’s Italians, 2-1.
In group D, Óquei de Barcelos and Sporting tied 2-2, and both advance to the ‘quarters’ of the ‘Champions’.
