A large number of Saudis are calling on social networks this Wednesday for the deportation of Cristiano Ronaldo from the country, after the Portugal international made a controversial gesture at the end of Tuesday’s match between Al Nassr and Al Hilal, by grabbing his genitals as he listened to chants from fans chanting Lionel Messi’s name.
Lawyer Nouf bin Ahmed even said on Twitter that she will file a complaint with the Saudi Prosecutor’s Office against CR7, who is accused of committing “a crime of indecent exposure”.
“It is considered a crime of public dishonor because it is one of the crimes that carries imprisonment and deportation if committed by a foreigner,” said the lawyer specializing in international law.

Ronaldo’s gesture was the subject of commentary on Saudi Arabia’s most popular sports program, Action ya Dawri. According to Al Nassr sources consulted by commentator Mohamed al Anzi, the 38-year-old Portugal international made the gesture because he “took a blow” to that body part during the match.
Other commentators were harsher on the striker, most notably Ozman Abu Bakr, who described the move as “an immoral and rude gesture towards spectators” and indicated that the Saudi Football Association of Saudi Arabia should terminate Ronaldo’s contract.
