An Italian court on Thursday suspended the 15-point penalty that had been imposed on Juventus in the Italian league for irregularities in the transfer of players.
With this decision, Juventus – who tonight plays in Alvalade with Sporting for access to the Europa League semifinals – jumps from the current 44 points to 59 and rises from seventh to third place in Serie A, which gives access straight to the Champions League.
Even so, the Turin club is awaiting a new decision from the court of the Italian Football Federation that had originally applied the sanction.
