Benfica announced on Friday that it has filed a complaint against Pinto da Costa, president of FC Porto, with the disciplinary board of the Portuguese Football Federation, following the statements he made in the magazine Dragões.
In the daily newsletter, the incarnate believe such statements, published on Wednesday, are “intended to determine the arbitrations” in the final stretch of the I Liga. In this sense, he informs that he “made a report” that, he adds, “did not deserve any action from the Disciplinary Board in the last 48 hours”.
Benfica previously participated in Porto coach Sérgio Conceição and vice-president Vítor Baía.
In Dragões magazine, Pinto da Costa reinforced his confidence in FC Porto winning the title of national champion “as long as the sporting truth prevails in all matches, which did not always happen this year”.
