The Santarém Football Association has decided not to “ratify” the 60-0 result of the futsal match between Mação and Benavente to count towards the 20th and final day of the district championship futsal, last Saturday. He also decided “not to ratify the result of the test”, giving Mação the title of district champion. The case was referred to the Public Prosecution Service.
The Board of the Santarém Football Association “decided to send a disciplinary report to the competent body, that is to say to the Disciplinary Board of AF Santarém”, taking into account the “unimaginable result for a normal indoor football game”.
The Association also reported the case to the Public Prosecution Service due to the “possible occurrence of the offense which may be criminal or administrative in nature and motive”.
The Council further believes that the facts and circumstances constitute “evidence of possible crimes”.
In the match for the 20th and final round of the Santarém futsal championship between Mação and Benavente, entering the field with only three players, Mação won 60-0, ending the 33-goal advance of Vitória de Santarém, who had defeated Gruder , was undone. 7-5.
