Midfielder Sergio Busquets, 34, officially made his departure from Barcelona on Wednesday, the club where he was 15 years old and was one of the most charismatic players – he is the third player with the most games played by the Catalans, a total of 718 since its debut in September 2008.
Considered by many to be one of the best midfielders in the world, Busquets won a total of 31 titles for Barcelona, including three Champions Leagues and eight Spanish Championships.
The player informed this week about his decision to coach Xavi Hernández and the board, and a video was published this Thursday making his departure official.
The midfielder’s future is not yet known, but according to reports in the Spanish press, the Spanish player could become Cristiano Ronaldo’s teammate at Al Nassr next season. Busquets still holds several proposals from North American clubs.
