Portugal performs last training session before the decisive clash with Spain

The Portuguese soccer team will carry out the last training session this Friday before the decisive match against Spain, in Braga, last in Group A2 of the League of Nations, a session in which the entire squad must participate.

This Monday, the training session is scheduled for 11:00 a.m., at the Sporting de Braga training ground, with the first 15 minutes open to the media, before the previous press conference begins at 12:30 p.m. to the Iberian football match, with the presence of the Portuguese coach, Fernando Santos, and a player to be designated, at the Braga Municipal Stadium.

Portugal leads the A2 pool, with 10 points, compared to eight from Spain, which was defeated in Zaragoza, 2-1, by Switzerland (third, with six), while the Czechs are last, with four.

On Tuesday, Portugal receives Spain, in Braga, starting at 19:45.

The ‘quinas’ team, winner of the first edition of the League of Nations in 2019, by beating the Netherlands in the final, needs to win the group to reach the ‘final four’ of the third edition, the second being won by France, in a final with Spain, in 2021.

The four group winners from League A qualify for the final phase, which includes the semi-finals, the final and the match for third place. The ‘final four’ of the third edition of the race will be held in June 2023.
