This Monday, Estoril Praia ensured its permanence in the Portuguese Football League, by beating Arouca 2-0 at home, at the end of matchday 32.
João Carvalho (68 minutes) and Cassiano (90+4) scored the goals of the match, which allowed the ‘canarinhos’, in 15th place, to add 31 points, and eight above Marítimo (16th), instead of playing -stay-off, with the islanders, with two days to go, prevented from directly guaranteeing maintenance, such as Paços de Ferreira (17th) and Santa Clara (18th).
Arouca remains in sixth place, the last access to the Europa Conference League, with 48 points, two points behind Vitória de Guimarães (fifth) and two more than Desportivo de Chaves (seventh), which did not register for European competitions, and five than Famalicão (eighth).
