Inter Milan are back in the Champions League final, which has not happened since Jose Mourinho’s time as coach of the nerazzuri13 years ago, after winning again against AC Milan on Tuesday.
Back at the Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, the ‘Milanese’ semi-final concludes with a double victory for Simone Inzaghi’s forwards, adding Tuesday’s 1-0 to last week’s 2-0, confirming that they have won the transalpine team are in better shape, at this stage of the season.
The executioners of FC Porto and, later, Benfica in the Champions League controlled the game with great class and sealed the victory with the goal of the Argentine Lautaro Martínez, in the 74th minute, doing a good job in enemy territory.

The fifth clash of the season between the two Milan giants is Inter’s fourth victory, bringing the tally to numbers not seen for nearly half a century.
Now Inter are waiting for the opponent of the final and leave the half that ends on Wednesday, between Manchester City and Real Madrid.
For Inter, they have already reached the final six times in UEFA’s premier club competition (winning three) and, as we saw on Tuesday, there is a great desire to return to success in Istanbul on June 10.

AC Milan managed to get Portugal’s Rafael Leão back before the game, which wasn’t enough to shake Inter’s excellent defensive plan, one of its great weapons throughout the season.
Rafael Leão failed to have the brilliance he already showed, with few explosions in attack and with less physical strength. He still got shots, one in each half – very few for someone who has already been voted Italy’s best striker.
Inter, without big stars, is worth it for the very strong team, with experienced players playing for the team, such as Lautaro Martínez, Lukaku, Barella, Dzeko and Onana.
Very rigorous defensively, he goes on the attack with precision to score a goal, as was the case with Tuesday’s move that brought victory, in which Lukaku and Lautaro Martínez worked well together against an overly passive Kalulu. The Argentine isolated himself and shot towards the near post, misleading Maignan.
Inter are clearly outclassed in the championship and lost to Napoli by a wide margin. Now Inter have everything they need to end the season well, not least because they will play the cup final on May 24, in which they are favorites against Fiorentina.
In Istanbul, the mission is complicated as the options are the Champions League specialist, Real Madrid, or the almost again English champions, Manchester City, of Rúben Dias and Bernardo Silva.
After the victories of 1964, 1965 and 2010, here with Jose Mourinho at the wheel, Inter is looking for its fourth title.
