On sale for almost 2000 euros. ASAE investigates irregularities in Benfica-Santa Clara tickets

The General Inspector of the Economic and Food Security Authority (ASAE) is attentive to irregularities that may be practiced in the sale of tickets for the Benfica-Santa Clara match, scheduled for 6:00 p.m. this Saturday.

The national press reports, this morning, prices on the black market that can reach almost two thousand euros per ticket. TO TSFPedro Portugal Gaspar guarantees that ASAE is monitoring the process to catch offenders in the act.

“We are doing a follow-up in terms of checking what is happening and then trying to make the crosses of those who try to sell tickets above face value,” explains the general inspector of ASAE, noting that the follow-up is done by checking the offers later ” try to intercept the sale on the spot”.

Some of the biggest challenges in this ticket black market are in the digital environment.

“The digital offer has changed the paradigm of this type of situation in which it allows an extension in time, an offer for a longer time,” says Pedro Portugal Gaspar, giving the example of Coldplay.

As for football matches, “the term is a little shorter”, since “it takes on a greater dimension” from one day to the next.

“Next we have the Portuguese Cup, naturally we will also follow it. Perhaps there is not so much speculation, but it is on the radar of our performance and monitoring of this type of situation ”, he adds.

Starting at 10:00 a.m. this Thursday, through the secondary market promoted by Benfica for the sale of tickets that refer to seats made available by Red Pass holders, another 200 seats will be placed for the match that could be the title.
