Dutchman Max Verstappen (Red Bull) won the Monaco Grand Prix on Sunday, the seventh round of the Formula 1 World Championship, but the sixth race was actually held, and extended his lead in the World Drivers’ Championship.
Verstappen crossed the finish line 27.921 seconds ahead of second-placed Spanish Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and 36.990 seconds ahead of third-placed Frenchman Esteban Ocon (Alpine).
The Dutchman already has 144 points, 39 more than the Mexican Sérgio Pérez (Red Bull), who was only 17th and did not score.
